RE: Post-Incident Infrastructure Integrity Assessment

To all ratepayers and residents within the HMUC service area:

Following a period of elevated material theft activity within the Village of Hobart and surrounding Proctor County service zones, the Commission has initiated a routine integrity assessment of utility infrastructure, fixed assets, and metering equipment in all active service corridors.

This assessment is standard practice following any sustained period of property-related criminal activity within or adjacent to Commission rights-of-way. It is not an investigation. HMUC does not conduct investigations. HMUC maintains infrastructure.

Preliminary field checks have been completed in Sectors 1 through 3 (residential and light commercial). No damage to Commission property has been confirmed at this time. Assessment activity in Sector 4 (civic campus, library grounds, and associated utility corridors) will proceed over the coming weeks as scheduling permits.

Residents may observe HMUC personnel and equipment in these areas during normal business hours. This activity is authorized under standing Commission operational protocols and does not require coordination with or approval from any other municipal body.

Questions regarding this assessment may be directed to the HMUC Operations Office during posted hours. Questions regarding Village operations should be directed to Village Hall, which maintains its own schedule.

The Commission thanks the public for its continued cooperation during this routine process.
